Picture this. I'm low on cash and decide to sell my phone. I find a buyer. He gives me money, I give him the phone. There has been a transaction — buying and selling. But that doesn't make it a business. Why?

A business is a repeatable process. Sustainable results answer to laws, patterns, and sequences.

A business is a repeatable process of Value Creation – creating something of value.

A business is a repeatable process of Marketing – creating something of value that people want or need.

A business is a repeatable process of Sales – creating something of value that people want or need at a price they are willing to pay.

A business is a repeatable process of Service Delivery – creating something of value that people want or need at a price they are willing to pay, delivered in a way that satisfies their wants/needs.

A business is a repeatable process of Making Profit – creating something of value that people want or need at a price they are willing to pay, delivered in a way that satisfies their wants/needs, and should bring enough money to continue the business.
